MYRIAD

MYRIAD Digital Zines / A Hexagon SF Magazine companion series.

MYRIAD is a new project designed to give experience to emerging editors. Each subscriber-exclusive digital zine will feature five or more flash fiction pieces selected to fit a theme chosen by the editor. Our first zine, Boundaries was guest-edited by Kevin M. Casin, and was released exclusively for subscribers in December 2021. The second, Ironwood, guest-edited by Anna Madden, was released for subscribers in April 2022.

Remnant

Submission Guidelines:

We are looking for REMNANT tales for our fourth MYRIAD zine.

We want leftovers. From the residue of an experiment gone wrong to the few loyal knights left to guard the Queen, if something remains at the end of your story or it opens with a lone survivor, we’d love to read it. Send science fiction, fantasy, (light) horror, or slipstream – we’re looking for stories that linger long after the last word.

Submission Format:

-This call is open to original speculative fiction up to 1,000 words.

-Please submit all manuscripts in a Standard Manuscript Format (Shunn). No simultaneous or multiple submissions permitted. Electronic submissions only as doc. or docx. files.

-Submissions open on November 1st and close on November 30th.

REMNANT will be guest-edited by Jordan Hirsch and will be available exclusively for subscribers of Hexagon Magazine in January 2023. All accepted authors will be paid a $20 CAD flat rate and sent a PDF contributor copy.

Submissions are OPEN until November 30th!
